As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our kitchen, supporting our chefs and culinary team in delivering exceptional food and service. Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and cookware according to established hygiene standards.

  • Maintain immaculate cleanliness of the kitchen environment, including floors, work surfaces, walls, and storage areas.

  • Effectively manage and organize dishwashing operations, ensuring a constant supply of clean equipment for the culinary team.

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.

  • Receive, unpack, and store deliveries of food and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and stock management.

  • Dispose of waste and recycling in an organized and environmentally responsible manner.

  • Support the kitchen team by performing general cleaning duties and maintaining a safe and organized workspace throughout shifts.

Requirements and Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar kitchen support role is advantageous but not essential; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are key.

  • Excellent understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team.
