Responsibilities
Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and cookware according to established hygiene standards.
Maintain immaculate cleanliness of the kitchen environment, including floors, work surfaces, walls, and storage areas.
Effectively manage and organize dishwashing operations, ensuring a constant supply of clean equipment for the culinary team.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
Receive, unpack, and store deliveries of food and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and stock management.
Dispose of waste and recycling in an organized and environmentally responsible manner.
Support the kitchen team by performing general cleaning duties and maintaining a safe and organized workspace throughout shifts.
Requirements and Skills
Previous experience in a similar kitchen support role is advantageous but not essential; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are key.
Excellent understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team.
